Great deal on a solid lens, though UWA up to 10mm can be had for crop sensor F mounts.

I love this lens. It can occasionally be a bit of a challenge (as any UWA lens can) but it consistently delivers tack sharp photos and beautiful colors. It's built like a tank, too.

What challenge do you speak of?

The Panasonic 7-14 f4 can be had on eBay for around the same price. I suppose if you're wanting something fast (aperture) it doesn't quite fit the bill, though.

yes it can but 2 stops slower, the only thing closest to the tokina in this post is the Panasonic 10-25mm F1.7 at almost the same focal lengths and constant aperture value but $1400 more than the Tokina. I suppose the tokina in this post and a metabones speedbooster would still be much cheaper but man had Tokina made the same lens in M43 mount for the same price, that would be slick!

Yeah, not even sure 14 is considered UWA? Certainly wide angle, but for me, if I'm going to the trouble to switch to a specific lens to get wide, I want it to be as wide as possible within reason (10 or 11, or even 12)

I don't have this lens but the 11-16 (UWA) I've been having glare/flare problems with sunlight. It doesn't look like the typical flare but a curved line 🤷 ♂️ bothers me. But I also just got the lens. Not sure if that is what Ether was talking about.

This lens is f/2.0. Handy if you're taking interior photos. Most 10mm crop lenses only open up to f/4.0. The person that buys this is willing to trade the 10-14mm range for a couple extra stops.

I own a copy of this lens in F mount. It's a nice, chunky lens. I find that it's solid for some starter astrophotography on APS-C, not as wide as I think some would like, but very good for most people who are looking for something wider than a kit zoom without breaking the bank, and F2 isn't anything to sneeze at. Stopped down to F4, it's pretty sharp and has good color rendition, imo. I think I got mine used for only a little less than this, so for brand new, this is a decent price.
