How easy or difficult the journey may be, and which is better software, this or Turbo?

This software is very easy. What do you think your CPA uses for software...the same damm thing. Unless you have a very complicated tax return, its pretty easy. If you have questions you get free information from IRS.

I used the HR block to get back a ton in overpaid taxes for past years that my CPA did not see. So far, the HR block calculated the right tax. \

You can change your answers to see how the tax changes so you get idea if those changes you can support. And once the federal is done, the state is a piece of cake since it pulls the federal.

What you do is get the prior year and put in your data from the tax return to see if it matches. You need 2018 but its cheap. Then you just do the same for 2019/

In case your CPA blew it. You can use the 2018 to file amended return.

The new Trump tax process is simplier since your not likely to itemize so they is less input.

I tried to order the downloadable version, but OD charges CA sales tax for it. If I remember correctly Newegg.com doesn't charge tax for the same download. Any idea why OD does it differently?

Yeah I think the thing that made this better was the free $10 GC. Amazon gives you 4% GC but honestly I don't need to spend more money.

Edit: Oh snap I missed the part you said digital credits the first time... whatever reason it processed in my brain as the 4% bonus amazon credit on the return.

Just bought it using my promotional shipping credits. No tax on it either.

Eh gc is worthless. I got an email for deluxe plus state for hr block for 3499. Used my Amex 10 off 30 and used retailmeno for 5 back on a 30 purchase.

That deal has slide down quick with Amazon. Few years ago it was 10% extra from your refund. last year 5%, and this year 4%.

When it was 10%, you could make the case that getting a refund was actually not a bad thing. 😅
