Home depot and Amazon offer the restorer for $80. This is the lowest price ever on Amazon. It was that cheap 4 years ago at Lowes.

Good reviews overall

Man I'm a few months away from needing one... I've been keeping an eye on these and they never seem to go on sale. Very temping.

I wish Lowe's would have price matched so there was the option for an additional military discount.

Home Depot has a military discount. I believe it's 10%.

If the price is too low Home Depot will not honor the mil discount. I've had Lowes only give a 5% a few times.

I didn't know something like this existed so it wasn't on the list of things to buy 🤷 ♂️....typed it into Lowes and it was on clearance in my store for $79. Mil discount brought it to $72. Added to cart and the check out price went back to $99?? Screen shot my phone and ordered anyways so I'll make my case at the store, I suppose.

Wouldn't a belt sander be a better for general sanding ? whats the advantage of a handheld drum?

Oh no... You get to buy the specialty accessories for this item for three times what they are worth, so why use a 3 x 21 or 4 x 24 sander where you can buy the belts at Walmart? Smilie

Good point. I was on the fence but man the different drums and sanding rolls are just to expensive. The more research i do this seems like a specialty tool for people that do a lot of reclaiming of old painted wood. Not really for the weekend hobbyist.
