Not sure if Microsoft has cleared up their quality control problems, but I had to return the first one due to one of the main buttons constantly "sticking". It was a known issue back in November.

I ended up getting my second one from Costco, where I can always make use of their excellent return policy in case more problems crop up.

Buy it from Amazon at this price and then take it to any Microsoft Store within 45 days to purchase a 3 year protection plan for $20! Just make sure to have the receipt and keep the box it comes in.

I feel a lot of value is added with the 3 year protection plan.

If you buy this make sure you buy a protection plan from somewhere for when your $200 controller breaks ins 2-3 years.

Amazing controller. Integrated battery, usb-c charging, 3 different thumbsticks.. I just wish the paddles stuck out a tiny bit more on the back but that's my only critique... I highly recommend a warranty for any controller, especially one in this price range.
