Sony Playstation VR Bundle Five Game Pack - $199.00 IN STORE - YMMV

I just picked this up at the Pittston, PA Walmart earlier tonight. The girl working electronics seemed adamant that it was still $349 and was shocked when it came up $199.00. The price appears to be across the board, but stock may be a big YMMV at this point as it was $199 online in November from them.

Walmart dot com link is for reference only as it's showing as $299 from them directly.

Just a note; This does *not* come with the Move controllers. If you want/need them expect to pay ~$99.

Same price as BF but during BF some stores included a free $20-25 gift card.

Just an FYI: This is an add-on for the PS4, not a stand alone sysyem like the Oculus Go.

I got the Blood and Truth and Astrobot bundle during BF (includes those two games, two move controllers for $250- made better due to some Rakuten sale with $50 back in points) and I think if you can find it for around that price, it's the better option. Nothing wrong with these games but I think the move controllers add to the experience.

I played Skyrim and Ace Combat 7 in VR (non VR games re-purposed for VR) and it was really cool... but at the same time, the low resolution/low quality graphics really can be bothersome. I mean, it's still awesome. But if you play an actual 'built from the ground up for VR' game, it's a whole new level. Astrobot and Blood and Truth are mind blowing. Blood and Truth especially was fun. Cannot wait until the next gen of PSVR.

It's my first foray into VR and there were some posts during the sales deterring people from the PSVR since it is one of the weaker VR experiences but if you just want to test the waters, I think it's well worth it. Is it as nice as an Oculus or HTC set? I'm sure it's not but the buy in was much less.

Why would you need "move" controllers? Just trying to understand. Thanks!
Certain games can use them, others require them I believe.

If you have a PC strong enough for VR, you are MUCH better or getting a PCVR headset with motion controllers for around $200.

Nice found 2 at my local Walmart even though Brickseek showed limited stock. All other stores show OOS

I would say that they are necessary to get the VR experience most people are looking for. One of the best times to be had in VR is Beat Sabre, and that requires move controllers. Any game where you are intuitively moving objects in a 3d space will be more fun with move controllers and may even require them. Having said that, my favorite game is Astro Bot and it uses a PS4 controller.

Agreed. For instance, this bundle includes VR Worlds and one of the mini games in it (The Heist) requires move controllers. In fact this mini game showcases how awesome VR could be with the right implementation and how close a game can feel to the real world. While there are some good Dualshock compatible VR games, the move controllers really are required for the full PSVR experience. For some games, like Batman VR, they are instrumental to how the game was meant to feel (like the ability to throw Batarangs).

I don't want to assume though I'm sure you probably know but in case you don't. Blood and truth is pretty much a full game sequel to the heist
