yeah, also double ram and memory, really depends on your application. If you're gaming, you can't go wrong with the value of the HP - throw in another 8gb stick for $30 and you're set. If you need more processing power - this isn't a shabby deal, not hot though.

Although AMD is making great inroads with marketshare. I just upgraded my 10yo desktop to 3700x which is equivalent to 9700k.. mainly for x570 pcie4 SSD future-proofing. Many will keep their desktops for 8-10 years. Once pcie 4 is mainstream there won't be a need to upgrade for about 10 years. IMO DDR5 alone won't be a competitive reason to upgrade.

I do not believe this is a good deal. You have a heavily overpowered CPU compared to the GPU. This should have a Core i5, non K to match the GPU, and have the price reduced accordingly. If you are a CPU hound using this more as a workstation, then the GPU is overpowered for your uses, as a 1650 Super is plenty for watching videos and light game playing. This machine has mismatched parts. A 2060 or above should really be paired with this CPU, and realistically something more like a 2070 considering it is overclockable and if the 1660TI is good enough for your uses, you should have a 9400F, Core I5 non K, or better yet, a great deal of a CPU the Ryzen 3600.

The graphics card is the single most important thing when you are considering a gaming machine. If you are worried about overheating on the HP machine, I wouldn't. If you look at the photos, there is a large section of mesh on the side of the case to allow it to bring in cool air. It's an ugly case, but the airflow looks reasonable enough to really never have issues with airflow unless you keep it inside a cabinet of some sort. The CPU will be able to keep up with the GPU in the case of the HP. You don't NEED 16gb of ram, but considering how cheap an 8gb stick is, there's no reason not to pick that up.

Do you know what the psu is in that hp? Do you know if a 2070 mini will fit in there?
