Does it have DRAM or is ram-less like many other budget drives? Thanks.

Never mind Amazon says: Slc dynamic caching and DRAM buffer for better performance, so yes if this is accureate.

The SU800 has a couple slightly higher read and write specs. The only noticeable difference I can find was that the SU800 has a total max written capacity of 1600TB where the SU760 has a max rated at 800TB.

If you read all the in depth reviews on the SU lines, none of them have build in DRAM. The "DRAM buffer" is just a marketing term that the controller is using your system ram to do the caching. Only the SX line has build in DRAM.

However benchmark shows "Slc dynamic caching and DRAM buffer" is still better than other DRAM-less drives that dont have this tech.

The SU760 is Amazon's SKU for the SU750, which is DRAM-less.

Someone found the description on Adata's website saying SU750/760 "has SLC Caching and DRAM Cache Buffer". https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc...7/f0t4h5i/

Ok it's not entirely true . The drive don't have dram but it use some of the memory cells as slc cache and once operation is over , it moves it to tlc cells . It work well for low cost drive but you will start seeing dip in write speed as you fill up the drive as drive don't have space to assign to slc cache. Slc cache is nothing but same memory cells use for writing one bit rather then three bit in case of normal operation as it's much more faster

Would this work well as a game dedicated drive?

A review confirms SU750/760 has no DRAM, but SU800 does have DRAM.
