What's the benefit of wpa3? A bit harder to hack?
It's the best deal out there for this newly released product and $10 cheaper than BB and other places (and look like OOS at Amazon at $79)
Some people here let the desire for a discount blind them from seeing a simple good deal.
Please let us know if you find a better 802.11ax router at a better price. I need one soon. I think my 5 year old netgear AC router is dying. Been loosing internet multiple times in the past week while fios not reporting any outage.

There are ACs with higher theoretical speed, but that's not everything. Real world speed is important and there are many other benefits with ax/WiFi 6. WiFi development is at a point where the speed from a cheap router is good enough for 99% of the people and other factors like latency and battery life impact are more important differentiating factors. Those are important benefits of AX
It's special in that it's the cheapest ax out there from a big name and it's $10 cheaper than BB/amazon. Post a better ax deal if you think this is no good.
There's a good chance we'll see 49 by Black Friday but not sure if my 5 yo netgear can last until then
I'll gladly spend $70 on something that will get me by for now until the newest wifi 6 and wpa3 tech becomes commonplace through the year.
I can always drop $150+ next year and keep this in the closet as a spare rather than spend $150 now on something that will be old news in 8 months.
Thanks op

I need a new router and this looks like the best cheap one at the moment. This is a clearly better option than the $50-70 Archer A7/C7 and Netgear R6700, unless you want to use a third-party firmware on it. The Netgear AX3000 appears to use an Intel chip, so I'm steering clear of that one
