Take those ratings with a grain of salt... they just want to get paid by you surfing through their website. Even if you don't buy the product you looked at, they can still get paid on other Amazon sales.
In regards to the deal I think it's case by case. In my experience Aukey is a wannabe Anker, yet provides some decent products at a fair price. I've have only had a couple problems with Aukey purchases vs. Anker has been fabulous. With this product and it being hooked up to your expensive laptop, you should probably buy something of a good quality.

I found this exact product on review sites to get the product for free. That score is justified.
really annoy.
ended up using the hootoo ones that was on sale for 20 dollars. it is silve, it light up the name, don't fit my computer and is pretty low qaulity. but it works. this is such a Shame because the Anker ones felt better and don't have the lighted brand names
