I don't know if this applies to the QLED ones, but for the regular, I did a comparison before buying and found the 7 series was a nice jump in image quality over the 6 and the 7 was on sale for not that much more (end of model year clearance). The 8 was definitely better than 7 (mostly the blacks were darker) but only slightly and they were a ton more $$$.

This was comparing 6000 vs 7000 vs 8000 which I think was the 2018 models. Then they went to 600 700 and 800 for 2019, now apparently they're doing 60 70 and 80? Keep dropping 0's off. Next year will just be 6 7 and 8?

That being said if you only saw the 6, it would probably look perfectly fine to you, but after seeing them side by side I couldn't resist.

6 series has a 60hz refresh.
This one has 120hz.
Better for gaming which a ton a people do.
