For 1000 dollar price range I would look into APS-C instead of full frame. Full frame lenses are very expensive.
I've used both cameras and my experience differs.
First off. That's definitely user error using a cheap garbage $80 "Yungnuo" lens on a Sony full frame camera.
Don't get butthurt, but you obviously don't know what you're doing even buying something that inferior to shoot photos with. You're doing yourself a disservice and hindering that cameras abilities with such poor glass. Even with the kit lens you mentioned it doesn't do the camera justice.. though that kit lens on the a7ii isn't that bad at all.
Nobody should take your post here seriously. You should head to your local community college and take a photo class or just YouTube lessons since it's free and you don't care to properly invest in your photography endeavors.
Also a good photographer should be able to work with any camera and get decent shots. By your post/review this is not the case.
The sensor, definitely not. Sony has much more dynamic range. The user interface and ergonomics, yes IMO. The early A7s have a lot of software quirks that Sony doesnt seem to care about fixing... (lack of raw compression, star eater noise reduction, cant turn off LCD, etc...)

EOS RP is a much newer camera than A7II and with Canon's recent firmware updates, it has really good autofocus. It's sensor is good, not great but overall it's a pretty good buy at the current price. I believe you can get it for ~900 at GreenToe or ~800$ with Canon's loyalty program discount.

you can turn off the monitor if you put it in viewfinder only mode just so ya know but you might be referring to something else.

Yes, but then your menus are stuck in the viewfinder as well until you change it back. The person who designed "deactivate monitor" to make a black screen but keep the LCD on is a clown... Honestly, this is probably no more than a couple of lines of code to fix...
