I missed out on the lightning deal posted by user whoandydo33. Looks like the deal is back again!

This is an ok light, but nothing special other than the Anker brand. The light output at the emitter (bulb) is ok, but the zoom feature destroys the overall light output (like virtually every other zoomer). Plus, zooming adds a huge amount of weight and the zoom seal will need constant care to keep it watertight. The color temp. is cold, probably 6500k, which for me is a big negative. The onboard charging requires completely unscrewing the top, so it's almost just as easy to use an external charger or a battery with built-in charging. And, the lack of mode memory is a huge oversight - it's annoying to have to cycle through all the various modes just to get to the right one.

There are some better alternatives available near this price:
The Wowtac A1S:
https://www.amazon.com/A1S-Flashl...WOWTAC-NW/

The Wowtac A2S (a right angle light that can be use on a headband too):
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YJLQ5T9/

The Sofirn SC31B:
https://www.amazon.com/Rechargeab...B07WJWZ9P8

As others have mentioned, the Convoy S2+ is also hugely popular among enthusiasts. But, it's not sold directly via Amazon and these don't have onboard charging or an included battery. Convoy sells directly via Ali Express (but aware that there are a lot of imitators out there). The S2+ with the Luminus SST20 is an excellent choice. Personally, I'd go fo 2700k in a 7135x8 configuration. SD might block the link, so search Ali Epress for 32969287656.

For a US based source, MTN Electronics is very reliable. Among their choices is an excellent red body with the metal switch (it's worth it to upgrade to the 3B or 7A tint):

MTN also sells batteries. The Samsung INR18650-35E at 3500mAh is the top of the line:

the battery is replaceable

This LC90 has a replaceable battery. The newer LC90 2 cell has a sealed battery that can't be replaced, odd decision on Anker's part.

My bad, I thought I read somewhere that it was soldered in! Per the poster above me, maybe I had read that about the 2-cell model.

I got this a couple years ago and really like it although it is a little bulky for what I want these days and I've changed to the (old style) LC40 as my go-to flashlight.

Smaller, still bright, less modes = less clicking, plus a very good, all-round focus area.

Too bad they only sell it as a 2-pack now, and without batteries at that:

I haven't used the new style LC40. It might be great too but it is bulkier which is a big deal for me. If I wanted bulkier I would just stick with the LC90.

"C" rating on fakespot. Any reason for concern?

How many charging cycles on the battery until it degrades?

Many times last year it was on sale at $16, not $19.

I was just pointing out it was available, I've seen it cheaper too. Still a good flashlight.

Fakespot has lost its reliability lately, this is a great flashlight.
Battery has been nothing but reliable for the 2 years I've had it, if it ever starts to degrade you can always swap 18650 batteries
