Oh good grief. Look android gives you more open garden, but sucks for updates including security updates which disappear 2 years post release date for many android devices. Apple has less flexibility but supports their devices far longer with updates and security updates. Pick your poison.

I hate ANC and have tried the top rated ones including Bose and Sony. These actually work as stated with the equalized pressure. I hate the lower battery life but ended up settling on these because it is the only thing that sounds decent, have passthrough, and have great mics for calls. I had the Jaybird Vistas before these and also used a sennheiser Presence for calls as the Jaybirds picked up everything (it was clear but just picked up every background noise too). I tried the Airpods Pros due to the Costco return policy in case it didn't work out. Turns out I love ANC if it has equalized pressure. The ANC works amazingly well, to the point of actually drowning out people next to me talking fairly loudly as long as something was playing. The squeeze controls work better than the old Airpods IMO. You no longer will hear everything vibrating through your body like you normally would with a sealed silicone/foam tips. I wrote these off for the longest time but glad I actually gave it a shot.
