I work at Amazon and personally contributed to the Developing on AWS course by AWS. If you want to start off for free, there is nothing better than edx dot org. Start off with that and finish some courses, then spend time on the aws dot training website. Finally when you are ready to take the exam, do either the acloudguru or linuxacademy courses and you are pretty much guaranteed to pass.

Damn.. I paid $1,600 for it last week.

Hoping there is more insight. Currently, I only work w/ Azure, but would def be open to learning AWS as there is a higher market for positions.

Acloudguru and linuxacademy are merging or whatever. I used both for my aws certs and found the instructional videos of ACG better but linuxacademy is the much better resource because the amount of training you get is amazing and they also setup labs for you on the fly without the need to create accounts and track resource usage. I'm assuming ACG content will go to linuxacademy but I'm not 100% sure.

If you can still get ACG videos on urlhasbeenblocked I recommend doing that. Stacksocial tends to use awful training resources.

Plus one on the A Cloud Gurus. Passed my certification exam last fall and found the training very helpful. This deal appears to be selling the Pearson training. A simple cross-reference shows the class with the practice tests hasn't been updated since 2018.
