First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.
Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing
The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.
Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.
The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

i know this doesn't compare to atom's injury, but my GF ran over my toe with a sofa when we were trying to move it for the garage sale this past Friday morning. she rolled it right over my toe and a bunch of skin flapped open. i only just took a pic this afternoon with the skin down. i'm not gonna flap it back open
it bled pretty good but some good old fashioned H202 and pressure saved it. feels fine now

ftr about person with a cousin missing, no doubt any kid missing i'd panic. doesn't mean an internet petition is worthwhile after a day or two. i'm totally glad they were found safe and it was just they didn't want to go home, but IMO its like a car alarm. so ryou intervene every time it goes off? or do you take false alarms like this into account and disregard real robberies? IMO this jumped the gun
If you have ever been in the middle of a child "missing" investigation, ESPECIALLY a "runaway" situation, the first 24 hours are CRUCIAL! The fact is, as I POSTED, he WAS FOUND BECAUSE someone WAS combing the streets with a picture asking everyone they knew if they had seen him. It is my honest opinion, that had this NOT been done, he would not be safe and at home this evening. I would rather be on the safe side than wondering where he is for the rest of my life . . . because if it has ever happened to anyone here . . . you know that you never stop looking for someone that went missing.
So, if you want to think it was over reacting, that is fine, but it was due in part to those efforts that he was found. It is not like he just got up and came back home, he is SAFE and FOUND because someone was out there hitting the pavement with his photo looking for him. When people cannot see his face, then no one is looking. People see his face, they know who to look for.
And I do not think i ever said or gave the impression that it was simply a case of the child not wanting to go home???? I re-read what I wrote, because I did not think I would be so flippant . . . but none the less, I am under the belief that he would not have been FOUND or SAFE if he had not been located this afternoon.
Anyways, sorry to cause so much disruption . . .
Which is why I responded the way I did. Arj is a pretty smart guy, and he likes to "debate" the merits of everything, especially, why people post the things they do and why they think the way they did.
I generally enjoy debating with Arj, but I have a killer headache, and I did not feel like it, lol, hence, I did not bite, LOL
