I was very happy with my controller at first, but in true elite controller fashion it has started to wear out already after just a few months. The A button is starting to not work every single time i press, particularly when i'm trying to press it twice in rapid succession. For the money it costs it's amazing it still has many of the same problems as its predecessor. I had a problem with the buttons wearing out faster than normal on the elite v1 controller as well. If you can get a warranty and exchange every few months then it's a great controller. Or, if you only use it every once in a while it should be fine.

If you have a Costco card, this is the normal price there. Plus you'll have Costco's return policy backing it.

The first series had serious issues. All the grip would come off of it, it is well documented and ruins the feel of holding it. I have struggled with my old one remounting the grip with adhesive. Still a great featured controller

Have the first which has minor stick drift now, still using it, still was not sold on the version 2 at $160 but pulled the trigger with my extra 20 percent off with American Express card for $125. Will send back if I experience any of the problems I have read about this thing, sticking buttons, losing Bluetooth connection, stick drift out of the box. Trigger not registering.

The grip on my series 1 still remains perfect.
