so for people who don't own it ripping on the functionality, I say calm down.

I do own it and it works extremely well at what it does. Colors and brightness match what's on the screen - there are tons of videos out there if you don't believe me.

Price is an irrelevant argument - there is nothing else on the market that does what this box does. So you either pay it or you don't. That's your choice.

But to say it doesn't work, that's just not true. Anything that's on screen will be replicated with your lights (except for DV and HDR10+ but those are edge cases)/

Cecerious predicted this would happen on the other thread. Now waiting to see if it falls to $179 as cecerious predicted.

Should I return and rebuy? Or price adjust? Or wait for it to drop to 179.99?

How well do older hue lightstrips work with this? I believe I have older versions and the newer ones have more color vibrancy...

I've seen comments that this is best for video games and not tv. Is this true? I don't play video games.

You have to know the content that you like to watch. If you like to watch content that is very vibrant with colors - for example, Guardians of the galaxy 2 is an extremely colorful movie - then this will do that quite well.

What I have found is that 95% of what I watch on YouTube or TV or Netflix isn't all that vividly colored and so I almost never turn the box on.

I don't regret buying it but I also barely use it.
