Many would take the Sony X950G or Samsung 80/90 series over this. Especially those who watch a lot of 720p or 1080i and have a large room with a lot of seating in the room.
Still a great price for a very bright set and very good picture if you get a good panel.
Outside of plasma, rear projection, and CRT, there's no such thing as perfect uniformity. LED/OLED all of them are going to have faults to a certain extent. Also, I've yet to see Rtings address the panel lottery issue that plagues so many TCL's and to a lesser extent, all manufacturers. The fact that they rate the 6 Series TCL so high yet haven't even mentioned the gamble you're taking, gives me reason to not put so much stock into their testing.

No it's not. Poor off axis angles. Poor upconversion of cable and satellite channels. Some issues with screen uniformity.

I believe we are picking hairs here. Rtings and CNET put this tv above those. Either way, all great TVs. I got no horse in the race, I just bought the LG Oled65b8 for $750, lol.
Btw, go Buckeyes!!
