This actually seems useful for places where you want Alexa control without any sound feedback.

Normal Echos sometimes forget that they're supposed to be at low volume, in Do Not Disturb, or in whisper mode. Example: walk into baby's nursery with a sleeping baby, and whisper "Alexa, lights ten percent".

Response: "IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU JUST WHISPERED TO ME. TO ENABLE WHISPER MODE, SAY 'ENABLE WHISPER MODE.' NOW SETTING LIGHTS TO TEN PERCENT"

This has happened to me and I wanted to throw the Echo through the damn wall. I had damn well set the Echo to be low volume, I had damn well enabled whisper mode a long time ago. But they're a bit quirky and unreliable. This seems like a good option if you really don't want audio feedback in a certain room.
These are great for areas of the home you want to give commands for smart lighting etc. but don't need an audio response. Mine aren't hooked up to a speaker. Picked up several when they were at $10 last time
Echo auto doesn't use wifi, it uses your cell data plan via the Alexa app. This would work in your car if you have a WiFi hotspot on your phone or in your car.

I have one hooked up to some Edifier speakers in the den. Great easy way to add audio and Alexa to a room. We use the 3.5 mm jack though not Bluetooth.

I have an echo Auto and it's great but is there a benefit to that over this in the car?

These Inputs work just fine and the voice recognition seems to be just as good as any other Echo device. 3.5 to RCA cable is a great way to stream to old high end home audio systems.

Would this do any good to hook to one of those Cortana Harman Kardon speakers? I still have one in the box I got for about $50. I bought it because I heard the Bluetooth speaker worked good, but also heard Cortana isn't very good. I think there is a way to do Alexa with it, but I heard it wasn't the best interface. Would this make it work like a regular Echo, but with a better speaker and sound?

This may be a dumb question, but is it a micro USB compatible system or do we need to connect it to a regular power supply port?

Ya might be able to get it going with a Blue Tooth connection but it would be way better if that Cortana speaker had a 3.5mm port which it doesn't.

No interest at all in Alexa, but would this basically work as a cheap Bluetooth adapter for my stereo system at home?
