Been using the freezer bags for years and a couple of years ago I tried the regulars to save a bit of money.
For solid items like a piece of meat or a sandwich, they are fine for short term freezer storage. But if you are using these for more liquidy things like spaghetti sauces and chilies? Get the freezer bags. They hold together better and they keep the food from getting freezer burn. I had a few of the regular bags split going into the freezer making a big mess. The ziplocks also like to pop open when they are freezing. Something I never have happened with the freezer bags.

This is approximately what they cost at Walmart. For Walmart's brand.

These aren't the ones made for the freezer though, not sure how these ones fare for that.

I'd rather not have to do the S&S, because I'll forget about it, I'll just pick up some at Costco.

Kroger has the 90-count sandwich bags (house brand) on sale for $1, or 270 for $3. I picked some up today.
