I have this. It works pretty well but depending on the power levels of your microwave, test with 10-15 second intervals just in case. I put it on 45 seconds the very first time I used it and it blew up.

Are these good for over easy, sunny side up as in "runny yolks" or will this cool it all the way through?

Wow! I was actually meaning to find one of these (lost mine in a divorce). Love to use with microwave bacon and English muffins (also cheese if the bathroom scales aren't fussing at me). An easy microwave breakfast!

It's good for that depending on the length you cook it for. Mine either come out runny or overcooked and exploding. Takes longer, but I prefer the old fry pan.

Many people have received severe burns making poached eggs in the microwave. Use extreme caution if using this product. Many people will say it is safe, but under specific circumstances you run the risk of receiving extensive burns across your face and arms.

Got one two weeks ago when it was on sale for the same price. This gadget works great you just have to make sure you use it properly.

1. Add a tablespoon of water on top of the eggs
2. Poke the yolk
3. Test different cook times because all microwaves are different, more/less powerful.

We've got one of these, and it's great for making our own egg McMuffins. I got training on using it from my better half. Btw our microwave is 1100 watts.

1. Put a tiny bit of butter in each side of the empty well.
2. Crack open and empty the (large size) egg in each side.
3. Put a teaspoon of water on top of each egg.
4. IMPORTANT: Pierce the yoke of each with a sharp-tipped knife. This helps avoid "explosions".
5. Close the top, put in the microwave, and cook for 70 seconds at HALF POWER (50%).
6. Open and check to see how they look. They might need another few seconds, again at 50% power..!

Eat and enjoy!

Crack eggs in shallow (frying) pan of boiling water, in 3 minutes or so....poached eggs
Forget vinegar, stirring or any of that stuff.
It's really very simple.

I had this years ago. Terrible. Just spent 15$ for an egg cooker.
