Pretty great deal, that R7's Vega 10 graphics are particularly impressive. Also, isn't this the one with the reputed 18-hour battery life?

Surprised this isn't getting more attention. Seems like a pretty legit deal for the specs. I'm on the fence about grabbing one as I need a new laptop for basic productivity and novice CAD work for 3D printing.

I know nothing about PCs. Would this be good for someone who wanted to stream videogames in twitch or mixer?

Asus =/= Dell.

Looks good, specs are ok. Nowhere on there does it say IPS and nits are 250 if I read this right. 3.5lbs is nice, a little big for an airplane laptop but might be ok.

Also googling around for benchmarks I found this GTA V video. 720p at 60fps low, 900p is 40's, 1080p is 30 or less. I mean it is integrated, after all

edit : here's BF5. 30ish fps in 768p.

Any idea if the memory is upgradeable? Can't tell from the specs

I was curious about the memory as well. From the website:
Quote :
Memory
4 GB DDR4 2400MHz SDRAM Onboard memory, 1 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion, up to 12 GB SDRAM
My guess is there is a 4GB stick in the expansion slot which can be replaced with an 8 GB stick?

And in regards to the screen, apparently it's 1 of 3?
Quote :
Display
15.6" (16:9) LED-backlit FHD (1920x1080) 60Hz Anti-Glare IPS-level Panel with 45% NTSC
15.6" (16:9) LED-backlit FHD (1920x1080) 60Hz Anti-Glare Panel with 45% NTSC
15.6" (16:9) LED-backlit HD (1366x768) 60Hz Anti-Glare Panel with 45% NTSC
Edit: Also, newegg.com says the screen is 250 nits.

I thought I was the only one who could not claim the so-call gift card from DELL.

I also refused to buy Dell anymore.

CSR is horrible and you could not find where you can solve the issue.

No clue why this deal wasn't getting more love last month. I purchased from Microsoft. People were complaining about the screen and the color....I'd rather have this machine [microsoft.com] at $150 less with 4gb more ram and a 256 gb ssd @$399.00. Having owned it for a few weeks I can tell you it's lightening fast and the difference in screen resolution people are complaining about is really negligible. Even so I can go out HDMI at a higher resolution. Just my opinion tho....
