Aren't these always $70? I bought one for the garage a few months ago for $70. My GF just got cable installed a couple weeks ago, so I bought her one for $70..

The t-mobile version goes for $50 or less.

That is true, and I do have one of those routers, but not having to re-flash firmware to get it to work is worth the extra $20 for many people. This is also a different router.

I thought the whole point of these was to reflash whether you have a t-mobile logo on it or the asus one. The default firmware isn't that great.

The default firmware for most people is completely fine.

Need to reflash the T-Mobile router. Customers need a technical background for the complicated process. Most people are not technical and would rather pay the extra money for the AC1900. Easy to click the check button in the AC1900 Firmware Upgrade tab to run the latest firmware.
