Totally agree. From Wikipedia: Non-film material produced prior to April 2014 was collectively known as the Star Wars Expanded Universe (SWEU or EU). Disney later rebranded it to Star Wars Legends and declared Legends non-canonical to the franchise, with the exception of the CGI-animated The Clone Wars film and TV series of the same name. Most works produced after April 2014 are part of the official canon as defined by Lucasfilm.

This trilogy was considered canonical and an extension of the films by Lucasfilm before the Disney acquisition. If George Lucas considered them canon, I'm going to consider them canon when I read them!

Is this a good read for someone who's not that into Star Wars, but likes Sci-Fi? I thought the new ones were pretty good and when I watched the prequels in the theater I forgot everything that happened as soon as I stepped out of the theater. I don't think I ever watched the originals, just small bits and pieces.
I have read the ROTS novel and it is great. 10/10. The third book seems like it would be very good as well. ROTS is worth it at this price.

Labyrinth of Evil is also a great companion to ROTS, it leads right up to the beginning.

Used the $5 Kindle credit so $0.99. Love Star Wars but never read the novels. Will make for a good time sink during a few upcoming flights.

Thanks!

Jumped on this. Read a SW universe book a long time ago and it stuck with me as one of the more fun reads.
