On any of the combo deals that include a free battery. If you ad the items separately you can cancel the batteries and get the item for a discounted price. This includes the Brushless tools like the reciprocating saw, Jig saw, and the circular saw.

Actually it was that price a few days ago, but HD seems to have fixed their price mistake. Smilie

I was looking around to see what other Ryobi deals were available and found all these other combo deals with the free 4.0Ah Lithium+ HP battery (not just the cheaper regular 4.0Ah battery) and decided it would be good to post all the current deals in one thread to help others find the best deal for them.
Same Impact combo deal was $79 a week ago. It's a good cheap driver
You should probably have both. An impact you can drill with using appropriate bits but it won't work as well or be as precise. More wobble, etc. If you're putting anchors into drywall it'll work but you don't want to drill a lot with your impact

Total newbie here. I got in on the Brushless impact driver + 2x 3ah for $79 the other day. Should I go for the 2-tool combo + bonus 4ah kit instead? Or is the brushless impact driver strong enough to do regular drilling? TIA.

It's not fixed. You can still add the items separately and get the same discount.

Thank you! So my next question would be, should I go for the brushless impact driver now and wait for a good deal on brushless impact drill? Or get the 2-tool combo kit? Basically, are Ryobi brushless worth it?

From experience, just get the cheap brushed drill rather than getting the brushless one. It's like $25 on Amazon. I love the brushless impact and wouldn't get a brushed one but my brushed drill has been running strong for 2 years. Pretty much daily use. The brushless impact+brushed drill make a good cheap combo.

You can drill with the impact driver. I do it sometimes with the quick release bits. As mentioned they wobble more, but if I'm just pre-drilling a hole for a screw on a project, it saves time (I have two impact drivers so one gets a drill and one a bit). I prefer a quick connect for the quick release drill bits with an actual drill though so you really should have both. I don't think the brushless normal drill is sold on its own. I have the brushless hammer drill (P251) which I think is better because you can turn on the hammer mechanism when drilling concrete or whatever, but it typically stays off for me.

Do you mean hammer drill? Unless you drill into masonry a lot you don't really need one of those. If you don't own a drill at all then get one -- brushed is okay. You can always get a brushless one later; having two drills comes in handy at times.

You might consider looking for some YouTube videos that explain the uses of various tools to get a better understanding of what you need/want.

Is this a good deal to get just the batteries and charger? By returning the other items.
