Beware of the rampant fakes on Amazon for these brush heads. Yes, even the ones "shipped and sold" by Amazon.
I don't know where you got that information.
I've had multiple over the years.
The battery lasts way more than 1.5 years.

No, but if you don't mind fakes you might as well get buy a generic brand. My household is split, I buy generic brushheads for my sonicare at about ($1/head) and my husband insists on Sonicare brand. He hasn't even noticed when he has grabbed mine by mistake, so I am convinced the difference is minimal.

I can't bring myself to buy sonicare stuff anymore. Batteries last 1.5 years and then need to desolder to replace. My aftermarket battery lasted 3 months.

Anyone have any recommendations for an ultrasonic toothbrush with user replaceable batteries?

I just bought a pair of sonicare 2 plaque control for $24 each.... If they last almost 2 years .... Isn't that a great deal? $12/year.

It may vary between types, but the clones I've gotten have all been quite a bit worse than name brand; the bristle are softer, they fray a lot sooner and don't last as long
I'm sure there are different knockoffs floating around, but toothbrush heads are about the only thing I buy name brand lol

Last ones I got the printing on the head looked faded and bad. I assumed they were fake.
