Not much better than a few LG phones like Premier Pro for $50, or Journey for $70 on HSN (also owned by QVC). Samsung is going for the name recognition premium.

just ordered to replace my LG fiesta 2 that I got from HSN about a year ago. Been using hsn or qvc to buy tracfones for about 10 years. I like the samsungs a little bit better. This new one should be best yet with all the technology advances over time.
I am a light user so tracfone is perfect for me.

You and me both...My problem has been dropping and screen breaks, so I have quite a bit of time/texts/data as well as connect days built up on my present LG Rebel 4 LTE phone...(Bought from HSN for $30 with a talk/text/data and year bundle after applying my umpteenth new customer Promo Code - saved $20) I believe all you need for a new customer promo code is a different email address, and a new to HSN payment method...Peace

It uses Verizon, which has best network coverage. And yes can be unlocked after 1 year of Tracfone use.

I like my Fiesta 2... but almost jumped on this assuming it'd be 3GB of ram. As soon as we can get a decent 3GB phone with a year of service I'll be moving on from my Fiesta 2 Smilie

I'm considering it for my mother as it comes with a nice initial year plan (enough for her light use) and a solid phone as well..... After reading more about their plans, I find them to be quite expensive to the cheaper plan alternatives.

Update: I found better price yearly TracFone plan on eBay than the more expensive regular priced plans. Tempted to purchase this phone now. If one is currently paying like $50 a year for yearly plan and you pay $100 on this deal, it is like you are only paying $50 for the phone.

Anytime I buy a new phone, I buy a full case for it. They are usually only $10-12 on ebay or Amazon. My daughter is constantly dropping & breaking her phones.

I currently use the LG Fiesta 2. But it, like other LG phones I have had, it doesn't have the missed call alert. The 3rd party apps aren't always reliable. The Fiesta 2 only has 2.4 wifi, whereas the Samsung Sky Pro also has the 5g band wifi. I keep thinking I will go back to the Samsung, but haven't yet. I don't use the phone much, but my daughter loves sending me the "OK" texts, to everything I say. I had to buy extra last year, before my time was up. And still had lots of minutes left.
