I also shake the bottle before I use it every time. That's why I was confused on why the color is darker each time I use it. I'm guessing maybe the chemicals begin to react inside the bottle and it probably loses it efficacy over time? Either way, it seems to still be working.
EDIT: Also, ever think about wearing gloves with it? My palms are black for days. And that's following directions to not get any on my finger nails.
