I know Benchmade is a high-quality brand, but this tread reeks of shill.
What makes it "reek of shill"? Not mad, just curious so I can improve my posts

Nothing is wrong with your post. It's a good deal and worth posting. It's rare to see Benchmade knives at this discount.

Maybe the comment is re: the first two (identical, low post count) comments. But it seems unlikely that second guy signed up 8 years ago just so he could post a comment in this thread ...

As always, the vendor is important when buying anything, especially knives. I don't happen to know anything about this one, so that might be worth a comment. Some comments at BF for anyone interested:

They seem like a legit company (a lot of people on the knifeclub subreddit by from them - not as popular as bladehq though). Just noticed shipping is $6.95 unless purchase is $99 and all returns subtract $6.95 for shipping regardless

In for 1! I should buy 5 at this price. They also have several other benchmade models on sale too. For EDC, I think the only better one would be the Bugout for its lighter weight...but its not on sale.

That was it exactly. OP was relatively new and the first 2 comments were near identical, one from a new user and one from a long-dormant account, which I've see used in shilling shenanigans on SD previously. I think SD identifies zombie accounts that can be used for shilling purposes to avoid the obviousness of brand new users piling on.

I know the brand, I don't know the seller, and the way the thread started just looked awfully similar to nonsense I've seen running wild on this site.

I'm glad others have chimed in to clarify that the seller is legit, hoping those of you who purchase / purchased have a good experience. I am a knife collector too, but I need another one right now like I need a case of the crabs.
