Great deal on a perfect garage tool box for the weekend warrior. It's not a snap-on, but it's damn good. Super heavy and a quality built overall.

The thin metal and medium quality slides and casters aren't a big deal for any garage weekend DIYer but the thing that sucks about this set is how small the depth is. It only has 14-16" deep drawers.

That may not seem like much different than the 20-24" higher end cabinets but when are stacking wrench racks and socket sets in these you may wish you had the extra few inches.

I wouldn't ever buy a shallow box like this again but I can see the use for smaller garages or people needing a good sized cheap first box they will upgrade put of later.

Weird. It still shows $448 here for me. Just checked again. Must be location dependent? I have a fairly shallow garage so having a 24" depth would have me opening drawers nearly on top of my car. So this actually works great for that reason. Agree, The 24" sets are super nice if you have the space.

FYI. This was in Houston/woodlands. Forgot to mention that. Can post a pic of the price if anyone needs it here in a bit.

Me too... OP FAIL.
Shows $448 at all in-stock stores around Wash DC (20001). OOS stores will show $698.

Even one store has it on clearance, but don't know the price.

FYI. Weight is pretty crazy on these. Took 4 guys to load it and 2 guys and a ramp to take it off my truck.

$448 all around me and the majority of the store show more than 6 in stock. I doubt these will be flying off the shelf so I will hold off and see if they drop again!

I've got the 52" 18 drawer [homedepot.com] box, almost 16" deep. Never have I wished the drawers were deeper.

Change your store. You're seeing a store with 0 inventory, hence the $698. Use the link tomwil posted in comment #7.

To me this felt like one step up from that one. I spent some time looking at both. This is MUCH larger in person in comparison. At least from what I remember. The lid has a nice feel to it with gas shocks and it just feels pretty solid.

Again. This is not the 1k+ level box but being honest with myself and just being a weekend warrior it fits the bill and holds a lot. Most of the customer images on the pro level ones are in guys shops or in service stalls. Key issues being a complaint kinda tells you that. I'm not locking up anything at home.

Check them out in the store. Surprisingly tough. From what I've read on the reviews this price is better than the Black Friday deal.
