The FDA recently named a list of dog foods which lead to heart problems - Rachel ray's was on it so I'd steer away from the cat food too. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www....cna1025466

I can't speak to the wet cat food, but my dog developed serious liver issues while eating the wet dog food regularly as a topper to this dry kibbles. the vets tried several things to stabilize my dog's liver values, including antibiotics, but ultimately the only thing that worked was cutting the nutrish wet dog food completely out of his diet. i can't definitely say what about this brand of food caused his liver issues, but I'd still recommend avoiding.

I do not understand the system catfioddb uses to rate foods at all. They rate this product only one star more than canned Friskies which is obviously garbage if you read the ingredients. I picked this food up at about this price at a local discount store. It's mostly meat & vitamins & didn't have any super weird ingredients (food coloring, grains or legumes). It has guar gum & carageenan but most canned food has a stabilizer. My cat likes it. She seems fine, but she's young. I feel like it's better than the grain free Fancy Feast that I usually feed at about this same price point.

Oh my gosh! My cats vomited on this food too! They've never thrown up from any other food. It was strange.

Why does the ingredients have so many "gums" in it? Having one gum is already an alert to maybe avoid but it has three types of gums.

Guar gum
Xanthum gum
Cassia gum

It also has the very controversial Carrageenan. Cellulose are in it as well which is believed to cause inflammations in cats and dogs, you know since Cellulose being sawdust and all.

See that's the thing, most food has one or two things(can't recommend more than two) to help the food stay in its form. This thing has like 5+ which makes you wonder WHY does it need that much of it. For every "stabilizer" a cat food has, it makes it harder for their system to digest properly. That takes its toll slowly but surely. The more added ingredient to make the food seem more enticing, the faster it all adds up.
