Heeeeey you're that same poser from the Kohl's thread. Welcome
Very much agreed. Seiko is definitively the most innovative watch company in the world (not accounting for smart watches). They were the first to introduce quartz technology in '69 and the Swiss companies nearly all went bankrupt from the quartz crisis. Aside from all the other quirky tech they stuffed into watches since, they also introduced the spring drive. To be able to marry the two techs of quartz and mechanical into one movement and even recapture lost energy for longer power reserve is mind blowing.
Having a varied collection with Rolex, Omega, Seiko and Timex, I can undeniably say that the most meaningful watch conversations with strangers always start with the Seikos.
But I digress, as there will always be the uncultured snobs who think price and clout are the end all be all in everything.
Unless for some reason you have a Grand Seiko spring drive movement in your "Rolly", it doesn't glide. It ticks, just not once a second.

I have the SRPD87 which is this watch but with a NATO strap and it's a really nice watch. The blue is extremely stylish and is a great watch even for people who are SKX purists. I also grabbed the Citizen Eco Promaster that was on sale too. Boy slickdeals is gonna make my wife kill me with all these watch deals!
I think the Kohl's sale that is valid through tomorrow is a better deal. Also saw at JC Penney in person had a few Presages on clearance which rang up 200 after tax in Austin TX

"My Rolly don't tick tock, it just glide
Keep staring at it and you might go blind"
Doesn't take a marketing genius to know that's not remotely true.
