    I'm not sure what you're referring to by "form factor", as most of these coolers have used the same size, dimensions and overall design for a long time. The more recent version of the 212s have an improved mounting system and the base of the heatsink has additional cooling fins. They've essentially made what was already an awesome cooler for the money even better.

    you need a pretty giant case to fit it. even the huge ass Core V1 case only accommodate up to 140 mm cooler.

    This. Make sure your case can fit this unless you are planning on leaving the side panel off.
    Good cooler, the fan isnt garbage but isnt the best.(it's louder than some others)

    I have the non-LED version, my CPU never breaks 65°C now (similar loads had it creeping up to 85°C on a stock cooler)

    Just be aware: measure and check it won't hit your RAM or the side of your case...it's one chonky boi
