Go to Post #37 for way to get another 10% off via a coupon. Takes less than an hr. Got mine in 10 min.

Cashback sites are running another 14-15% off for the next few hours.

Honey provides a free expedited shipping code.

$764.99 + tax - 14-15% pre-tax price = around $650 - $200 Dell Credit

This is a great monitor for productivity especially for coders!

Maximized the deal by doing whats below

850 - 10% dell signup coupon - 15% urlhasbeenblocked - 200 dell gift card = 450

I will try selling the 200 gift card but if not, I got other things that i can buy from dell.

Idk why I would need 4k for spreadsheets
Then again you don't want curved monitors for spreadsheets either.

How do you sign up for the newsletter to get the 10% coupon. I searched the Dell site as well as Googled it but didn't find it.

I have this and like it, but Apple products (at least my MBP) are not "officially supported". The only issue it has caused it is that when the MBP is powered via the USB-C signal from the monitor and it attempts to sleep, the monitor will go into "Searching for USB-C" mode, which apparently sends a wake up signal to the MBP. This results in an MBP that never really sleeps, and every so often I will see a flicker of light from my office when the MBP sleeps for a few seconds, then the monitor searches for the signal which wakes everything back up.

It was really annoying because it used to play the "charging chime" sound, but I have since disabled that annoying noise.

Other than that, the monitor is great for productivity. I went from a 3 monitor setup (23|27|23) to this and haven't looked back, other than the fact that my desk is now so bare without all those monitors.

If you are using anything Apple, then I suggest a screen manager such as Magnet or similar that allows for snapping windows to pre-defined sections. The u3818dw is the perfect size for 3 windows open side by side (split into 1/3's), or my preference is primary taking up left 2/3s with browser/secondary taking up other 1/3.
I have this and it works fine with my 16" MacBook Pro. Haven't noticed sleep issues. 🤷🏻

Make sure you don't have Bluetooth devices set to wake the computer, this can cause issues. You can inspect logs for powerd and find out for sure.

I have 34" version, and use it for text/browsing. It does not have very good color or brightness though, but good stand, lots of ports and build quality is excellent.

It's called this resolution is needed for a 38" spreadsheets or anything, unless you want to see pixels and shitty pic quality on anything. I have a 32" 4K. Couldn't imagine even 1440p. Well I could imagine because I returned it lol. 38" would be for someone that does video editing whatever or want big huge monitor lol

How were you able to get this to apply to the $850 monitor through the dell business page? It shows 'code invalid' when I apply it there.

The code works on the $950 monitor through the dell home page, but that isn't useful.

Dell Ultrawides are fantastic monitors. I have a 34 inch one. An absolute delight to do work on. Not a gaming monitor, nor is it intended to be (though all the real estate my monitor offers is great in Civ VI.

Is this a budget option? No. Is this a gaming monitor? No. But to say it's a bad deal because of either of that is silly.

I had to navigate through products to monitors ... to U3818DW and then saw the $850.

I also somehow got a 'member discount' ~5% (I don't know)

$1,299.99 (valued at BS)
-$450 limited time offer
-$10 newsletter
-$38.25 member saving ?
==========
$726.74 + tax
recieve $200 eGC (hope to sell)
~14% ($101.74) rebate

This monitor will eliminate 2 side-by-side monitors (L24q-20, 2560x1440) and more importantly dozens of cables (4 power bricks, 2 video cables, USB-C dock).
