This was $30 last month at costco. Looks like they're clearing out last month's stock. Ymmv

I just picked one up yesterday in Riverhead, NY. It's worth the $20, I would have been disappointed at $40.

Thank you.

Saw it in-store for $40 few months ago and noticed it was made in China, so it was an easy pass. But for $20 may be worth it.

My husband got this for Christmas, and we ended up returning it to Costco. The mechanism that locks the tools in place when it's flipped out doesn't work very well. The knife kept flopping backwards when applying pressure to the blade, which made it pretty much useless.

Probably left over from Christmas stock, $xx.00 means its discontinued and being clearanced out. Since each store does their own clearance its highly YMMV.

$.00 or $.88 means manager's mark down. That means it's a store by store pricing. $.97 means it's on clearance and they are never gonna carry the item again.

Slight correction, .97 is a non advertised discount, an asterisk on the price tag indicates no restocking. Typically most .97 items have the asterisk, but there are cases where items are just discounted but not good enough to be published in the weekly/monthly ad.

Thank you for the pricing info. Didn't know they coded it that way. I had actually rounded the $19.97 that was advertised.

The pouch is nice. I got this to throw in the other car so it's a third or fourth string backup tool and alright for $20. If you're getting this for regular use, don't. It feels like junk compared to a leatherman and has a lot of design flaws. The pliers have to be opened in sync. The lock for the tools is hard to disengage. The tools are hard to access unless you've got some claws.

Definitely saw these a few hours ago at Costco at the $20 price and definitely walked on by. Never been a fan of these multi-tool "things".
