Simply not true... Verizon phased out their CMDA as of 1/1/2020. These WILL work on Verizon network.

I work at Verizon and deal with this everyday... This phone will not work (even though you're correct CDMA is being phased out so they should eventually work on the network). But I can tell you from experience many times over the past few weeks that if you put a Verizon SIM in a non-CDMA iphone it will not work.
If you don't believe me go ahead and buy this and take your chances, you'll get to test their return policy (it says 30 days, hopefully it's painless).
