If you dont need the fancy model listed but want cheaper Beyerdynamic, Amazon 20% off warehouse has deals on the dt770 and dt990.

the Beyer line have highs that can be sharp/piercing for some. The 880s are more balanced than 990s or 770s but still on the bright side. Consider audition these first to determine if they are for you.

Agreed. Got a 770 Pro as my closed back pair of headphones. The soundstage is pretty good for a closed can, isolation is good and is comfortable to wear. The build quality is also good and parts are designed to be user replaceable.
But I just can't stand that sibilance...

They are just as fancy, just have different operating designs. I had the 990 and liked it a lot. These premium editons are super comfortable too.

Agreed. I do love the soundstage being so wide and the quickness? Of these, but they cN be a bit tiring.
