We've used H&R Block for the past 5 yrs now and have never had a problem. This year however we're having major problems. We submitted both Federal and State almost 3 weeks ago, and they've both been stuck in limbo as pending since. In the past, pending status only lasted hours or maybe a day or so. After multiple calls to support, we were finally told that supposedly H&R Block lost power to their servers at some point, and they're still trying to figure out which returns need to be resubmitted. I've now wasted countless hours of my time talking to support, and at this point they still have no idea when or even if my taxes will actually be submitted to the IRS. Normally I would think just resubmitting the taxes on the software would solve this issue, but It won't allow me. Their are a lot of other people that are currently dealing with this issue as well.

It sounds like my best option is to probably just submit my taxes using another program. Because HR block doesn't seem to have a clue when this issue will be resolved. I'll never use their software again after this debacle.

deluxe + state. also you can do all taxes free if they are simple. go through myfreetaxes.com. they will redirect you to hr block

The bonus is getting lower everything year. It's pretty much not worth it anymore. Credit card has 2% or more cash back. Might as well get the cash and use credit card for amazon purchase. This way you have money in your bank and can earn another 2% from savings

Are you talking about the refund bonus? I am not sure what that is or how that works. Where can I find information about it so I can learn ..

Am thinking of switching to H&R block from turbotax. Does the one with fed and state include only one state or multiple states? (Not for efiling but just for preperation). Turbotax charges 35 bucks or something for additional states and I have to file in 3 states...
