I was looking at these the last time they went on sale but they weren't this cheap. Solid score.
Before anyone starts... these aren't every day shoes so they have loud colors. Runners, we don't care. Loud shoes are fun. If you work in a hospital like I do, then loud shoes get compliments. When you're forced to wear a uniform, the shoes are our only way to stand out. 😎👍

These shoes look pinkish in the right indoor lighting. My college age daughter said I should return them due to the color. My wife does not like the color. A 20-some year old message therapist (maybe PT) gentleman and middle age female runner both commented on how they liked these Boston 8 shoes when they saw me wearing them. Some common complaints from reviews on the Boston 8 is that runners do not like the new upper material used versus was was used in Boston 6 and 7. I have no problem with the material but also preferred the material used in prior versions. The pattern of the outer sole was also changed in the 8 from what was used in the 6 and 7 and Adios 4 and prior. I have nearly 600 miles on one pair of Boston 6 shoes and 300 on a pair of Boston 8 I bought for $32 back in October. I think I can get 700 miles on the Boston 6 before the outer sole wears through. I am not sure how many miles I will get out of the 8. It could be less due to wear pattern. I prefer the Boston 6 and 7 designs to the 8 but for the price of $32 in October or $36 here I think these are great is you can live with the colorway. Boston 8 in Black Core and White Cloud stripes was as cheap as $45 after $5 off $50 eBay coupon a week or so back. They were on the adidas store on eBay as was the sale for $32 for this colorway. So compare prices from both adidas sources. They has been a little variable in the height of the toe box for me. I had to stuff the toe box with rags for a few days to stretch them out before they were comfortable enough for running. At that point I could run in them and after 5 runs they felt as good as any prior Boston 6 I wore. I have the same issue with the Boston 7. The cheapest I found the Boston 6 was $54 on clearance priced white colorway at Running Warehouse website and Boston 7 was $54 on clearance priced black colorway from Jack Rabbit website. So these for $36 are an incredible bargain if you can live with the orange/pinkish colorway.

These are great running shoes for many. They may not be the best casual shoe. Most at Letsrun know which adidas shoes are read athletic shoes and which are fashion shoes. This is a slick deal for those that are buying them knowing what they are and are not. That is the reason for my long posting.
The GT 2000 is moderately cushioned stability shoe that weighs about a full 2 ounces more than the neutral Boston. They are very different shoes. The Boston may not work for everyone. They feel similar to other brands of light weight neutral shoes that I have worn for manufacturer demo runs of 6 to 10 miles. The Boston actually felt like it had more cushion than one or two comparable shoes from other brands such as Altra and Brooks. Adidas website and eBay store both offer 30 day returns for any reason and free return shipping. I have returned several purchases without issues. I always wear a new shoe on a treadmill to make sure it works for me during the return period.

I've found the GT 2000 to be a bit clunky these days, especially when I wear my Boston8's right after wearing them.
I value both shoes, but the Bostons are definitely lighter and comfy for casual use. The wide forefoot works well for my foot.
Thanks a lot for this review. I was considering switching from GT-2000, even though I don't have any complaints.
