This used to be $100 until recently. Still a little bit of a moneymaker if you transfer a line with a compatible iphone galaxy or pixel, and don't use a lot of data. The taxes on the line are approximately 2 to 5 bucks each month depending where you live.

FYI, pixel 2 is not compatible, only 3 and newer.

Cheapest plan is 15.00 (w/ taxes/fees). One will have to go all the way up till 3rd payment for the gift card.

Yes, minimum plan is 12 bucks per 1gb data which can be shared amongst 5 lines. If you transferred 5 lines it appears that you can get 250 buvks total. If all 5 lines use less than 1gb data combined, then it would be 12 bucks plus approximately 3 bucks taxes per line. So a total of 15 in taxes plus 12 for a gb of data would be 27 total per month. 3 months service would then be 81 bucks. 250 bonus minus 81, that would be your profit.

My scenario above was simply to add one line to an existing plan with Xfinity, which I did.

Again, deal was much sweeter at 100 bonus per line added.

Not worth it, I did two time on their rebates before and both had problem and need to spend days and multiple phone call in order to get my rebate check.

Are you sure, with $12, you can share 5 lines and just pay taxes on other 4 lines ? Can you please share the terms from xfinity site plz.

1st Line : $12 + Taxes (assuming its $3)
2nd Line : Only taxes on $12 (assuming its $3)
3rd Line : Only Taxes on $12 (assuming its $3)
4th Line : Only Taxes on $12 (assuming its $3)
5th Line : Only Taxes on $12 (assuming its $3)
Total: $12 + $15 (Taxes on $12, which is $3 * 5 Lines) = $27/Month

For 3 Months = 3 * $27 = $81 ?

That math doesn't seem realistic.
It's hard to imagine someone can be brave enough to cancel the line(s) after 90 days, and not go all the way until the card is received. And per their terms one will have to wait until "16-18 weeks of activation" for that.

So, it's gonna cost between 108.00 to 135.00.

And they also say " One card issued for total qualifying amount.". So - mostly the rebate window really starts 90 days after the prepaid card offer ends - even if one is adding a line today.

It might be a deal for folks who are already w/ xfinity.

Yes, that's correct. From their website"Get data for yourself or to share when you choose By the Gig" - https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/plan.

Did this once, and what you described is my take as well.

Is Xfinity still "fussy" about the numbers that they will accept for port in? I remember them not letting me port in a Google voice number that I had acquired about a month before.

Do we probably need 5 phones to do this for 5 numbers?

I don't have a link, you can contact Xfinity mobile via chat or text via their website. I'm just sharing my 3 years experience with their service. I started on day one with them with the $1 LG x charge promotion. We had 3 lines that all shared less than 1gb of data, 2gb max on occasion, and always pay around 20 bucks total each month when shared data usage is under 1gb. You can also read old threads here on SD, as this topic has been well covered. The tax of approximately 3 bucks per line is for the line itself, not on the data.

Great, thanks this help. I will have a chat with Xfinity rep before adding the line. Thanks a ton

I have a pixel 2 on Xfinity mobile and it works 100%. Even Visual Voicemail works. My taxes are $1.29 making my total bill $13.29.

I got the service Jan 20th. Seems I missed this deal somehow.

So my question is if I use a iPhone to sign up for the service would I be able to swap that SIM card out to a Android Device? Also do you still get the Free Wi-Fi hotspot service with using a BYOD/P ? If so does it require the Xfinity Mobile or Xfinity Hotspot app to make it work?

Last question if I sign up with the iPhone imei # am I stuck with using that iPhone or can I use a different iPhone that is compatible on the Xfinity network?

I've had them for a while now and yes I've actually took the sim card out of an iphone and put it in my Note 8 and it works (as long as it is already unlocked). Not all Android phones work, only the ones that are compatible with GSM and CDMA networks like the Pixel or most of the latest Galaxy S and Note series. I can't speak for the rest of them but that have been my experience so far.

Yes, free wifi hotspot is available. I'm not sure if you need the app as I already had it installed in my phone before I had xfinity mobile.

Yes, you can swap from one iPhone to another using the same sim. One caveat is that you shouldn't do this until you get your gift card from them already (this also apply to swapping to an Android phone). If you do that before getting the gift card it can screw up your promotion and you more than likely not get it. Their system use the IMEI to do the promotion so if you swap phones before you get the gift card it'll act like you just brought a new phone over. If it happens to be after the promotion ended you will not get the gift card. Even if it is w/in the promotion timeframe it'll look like you just added a new phone to an existing number. I've had the first scenario happened to me and heard about the 2nd from someone else. You're better off waiting before swapping phones.
