A piece of advise, do not get the Honeywell 360 Surround Indoor Heater. That thing is extremely loud.
https://youtu.be/V-jmSjy2ArM. Worth a watch before buying an electric heater.
Essentially yes. If you have a space that bc of poor design doesn't get enough heat this can act as a supplement, but using it as a primary heating source is very expensive compared to other options. You can generally heat 3-5 times more space with natural gas for the same cost as electric resistive heat from a space heater

Would any of these be worth getting for a small place like an outdoor shed type thing? Need to work in it some hours here and there, and thought maybe if one of these are good, I could plug it into a smart plug and turn it on before I get in there. Otherwise, I guess I could just use an electric blanket

Yes. I have had three of these. They do great for their size. This price is a no brainer and all of mine were $25-30.

So just any? The more expensive fan one seems nice

Never really occurred to me but you're right. We use it in our nursery which also has a white noise machine, but sometimes I don't bother with the white noise machine because the heater does a pretty good job of making noise.

Are you sure you have the right model? I'm running one on high right now about 15ft away and I can barely hear it. My other electric space heaters are much louder.

I have this. Bought for my finished basement. I put it right beside the couch on hi and don't really feel it. Rather large area though. For a small office or under a desk with a front board it would do fine. Don't expect much performance out of it though.

I agree it's noisy but again I keep it right next to my couch.
