Watch people is this a good deal?? I k ow Michael kors from Lady friends purses but I think this one looks pretty nice.
Stay away from mainstream designer watches. For this price, find yourself a nice Citizen eco drive or spend a little bit more an go for a Bulova. Hope this is helpful!

Designer watches are marked up pretty high for what movement / build they have. If you don't care about the internals and mostly how it looks though, just buy something that you like.

Except Calvin Klein I would say. They're made by Swatch, same company as Tissot.
Guys, it's less than $100. If someone likes the brand then it's all good to enter the watch world with a fashion watch like this. I started off with a burberry at a much higher price point and it got me started on watches.
If this was $200+ then yeah there are probably better made options, but for $80, if you like the design then go for it.

There's nothing wrong with any watch purchase. But you're not buying a Michael Kors watch like you think. These watches, and so many fashion watches are made and manufactured by Fossil. I'd spend the $80 on a couple Timex Weekenders (different dial colors) before I'd buy a fashion branded watch like this. Or a Seiko 5. Or if you like this "dive" style, the Citizen Diver went to $90 a couple times since Black Friday.
This is a nice watch for the price. Bet you can find it cheaper if you go to Watch Station though.
Don't be discouraged by the MK brand. I have the MK Hanger, with a 100m rating and I have operated it under water, swimming on 6 ft depth and still ticks to this day. Battery is still original and it's a 2015 watch.
I've moved on to the bigger brands too (Panerai, Omega, Tudor, Rolex) but still have my Hanger in my collection.

Everyone above stating that these are over priced are correct however this is below what the sell for unless u shop at ross or Marshalls. At this price for the movement that is in it and if u like the design go for it, u may have some people complement u on it since it has a name on it that people fall for. the quality in the band and case on these watches are not up to par with retail price.

If you like the watch and it gives you pleasure, I say get it and enjoy. Unless there's some info suggesting this watch is unreliable or poorly made, that is.
But as others have pointed out, this is a fashion label watch. A good portion of that purchase price is to license the Michael Kors name. Michael Kors is most definitely not a storied watchmaker. Their brand value is the perceived fashionablity of whatever piece of clothing or accessory their name is attached to.
In contrast, there have been several recent deal posts on Fossil watches. They're no great name in horology, but at least they're primarily in the business of making decent, affordable watches. So their path to building brand value is through making decent timepieces. I bet they're just as good, if not better quality, than this fashion label watch. And for about half the price.
I suspect that these fashion label men's watches, especially the ones associated primarily with women's fashion brands, are marketed principally to women who are perusing the department story jewelry case, spot one with a familiar name and say "That's a nice looking watch. Wouldn't that make a nice [insert event here] present for hubby/boyfriend."

I wouldn't buy this watch for myself or anyone I know, but if you like the MK brand, don't be discouraged by the internals.
