Was at my local HD tonight and found these OLFA SVR-2 utility knives on clearance in the paint section for $2.03. Picked up a couple. Really nice, lifetime warranty. Made in Japan. They were located behind the paint mixing counter in a paint can labeled Clearance.

The OLFA SVR-2 Utility Knife is the knife that craftspeople and handy persons will not want to be without. It features an automatic blade lock for safety, and a built-in pocket clip, so you can take the knife with you on the go.
  • 9mm Blades
  • Slim auto-lock design
  • Snap off blades
  • Pocket clip is built-in
  • Stainless steel blade
  • Blade locks in place
  • Retractable blade
  • 13 fresh edges

I hated break away blades until I bought these. These are amazing. Put some black stainless olfa blades in them and you'll never buy anything else.

I agree with the first post, these are amazing. It's surprising how big of a difference it can make to have a good knife over a bad one. Even the DeWalt that I have is terrible in comparison.

I have the Uline version of these and I use them way more than I thought I would. These are now my go to knife. However, I would never clip one in my pocket...

Did you check the price and not just rely on the tag? My local HD had it marked for 6 and change, but it rang up $2.

Yes, I went to self check out and asked if we could check the price before I buy. It was in the paint area like the op said but no price. I'll check in a week or so if I'm in that area. Thanks for the suggestion.

Local HD also had 9mm ABB (black) blade 10-packs on clearance for $2.38! But I can't find the product on the HD website, so no internet number for Brickseek.
