United Airlines have one-way airfares travelling to and from Los Angeles (LAX) and Baltimore (BWI) for $67, nonstop. These are basic economy fares, a restricted-type fare. Sorry, there are only a few dates so maybe a return flight can be on another carrier or reward travel.

Just know (1) you cannot check in online for Econ Basic as they have to screen your "personal" bag, (2) you don't get to choose your seat not even within 24 hours of your flight, because you can't check in online, and (3) they really do look to charge you for bags of questionable sizes.
And UA will endless remind you about your can't do this and that as an Econ Basic passenger.
I also fly this route on Spirit often. It's usually cheaper and you can check in online within 24 hours of flight, but seat pitch is 2-3" shorter than UA's and seat is hard/upright.
