There's no denying there's a sweet spot price for buying current and last gen hardware. This probably isn't it.

Believe me, I understand picked up my water blocked 1080 Ti with the release of new 2080's for $375 love it and it can run everything I need. For sure there is a sweet spot and everyone will judge if cost is worth the advancement!

Ebay, right when the 2080s were announced everyone unloaded them for whatever they could get. Seller even provided all documentation so I was able to register it under my own details!

Since the last couple of generations of RTX has been lackuster in terms of rasterization gains, I think the next generation could be pretty dramatic (like maxwell to pascal). Also the new consoles base lining the mid-tier as 9-13 Tflops, I could see a $400 GPU outperforming the 2080 super.

Guys, the 30-series of Nvidia cards probably isn't coming out until June at the earliest. Will they provide more compute per dollar? Of course they will. But you also have to wait 3-4 months minimum.

Money is valuable. So is time. Make the best decision of how you want to weigh both for yourself.

Yep, but personally speaking, if you already up and running with an older card, I'd hold off. If you NEED a card, I'd get something at a lower budget since those cards hold more of their resell value when new ones drop. Just my two cents.

This is the card you actually want - MUCH higher power limit, very large cooler. $730 after rebate and code.
