We buy deals like this for an upgrade on a previous phone and the full year of service. I've accumulated minutes each time. My only add-on is roaming data. If I can't find a wifi connection and need something, it eats data. Over a year, I normally need to add a gig or so, @ around $10.
This phone is not the best for your $100 service year. 2GB ram is light. 5mp/5mp cams, out of date. Current best is Moto G6, 3GB ran, 13/8 cams. Check HSN.
Tracfone also has monthly plans now that you can switch over to if needed. Unlimited talk & text with 1GB of data is $20/month, with 2GB of data is $25/month & with 3GB data is $30/month.

No. Wrong. These phones can use a wifi connection too. It's not all on your minutes/texts and data allocation. Streaming, web surfing can use your wifi with no data deduction. You can use Messenger to text, call, video call with no data deduction. Lots of alternative apps to the same.
