Why is everyone tripping about the small amount of data included? The price is super cheap and is for the phone primarily. I never use all the minutes in a year, and for texts it's only $5 for 1000 and data is $10 for 1GB. I am a normal person and use wifi at home and work and listen to my car audio while commuting so I never have to buy much. Just don't stream or upload when not on wifi lol. I guess if I had to take public transportation I'd want more data. Still if you have wifi everywhere then paying $10/1gb whenever you want is still the cheapest option possible in my experience.

No. Wrong. These phones can use a wifi connection too. It's not all on your minutes/texts and data allocation. Streaming, web surfing can use your wifi with no data deduction. You can use Messenger to text, call, video call with no data deduction. Lots of alternative apps to the same.

We buy deals like this for an upgrade on a previous phone and the full year of service. I've accumulated minutes each time. My only add-on is roaming data. If I can't find a wifi connection and need something, it eats data. Over a year, I normally need to add a gig or so, @ around $10.

This phone is not the best for your $100 service year. 2GB ram is light. 5mp/5mp cams, out of date. Current best is Moto G6, 3GB ran, 13/8 cams. Check HSN.

You don't use data when you're on wifi... I actually turn my Mobile Data off unless I actually need it just to make sure it isn't being used.

Tracfone also has monthly plans now that you can switch over to if needed. Unlimited talk & text with 1GB of data is $20/month, with 2GB of data is $25/month & with 3GB data is $30/month.

I've never used any promos like this so apologies if this is a dumb question: Do you get this bucket of data/text/minutes per month or is it supposed to be used over the course of a year (or however long it takes to burn them up)?

One Year Only. When one bucket is empty, you have to stop using that service, or else buy
more Minutes or Texts or Data or Days. If you run out of days, you can not use any bucket until you buy more days. If you run out of days, you lose your cellphone number pretty quickly.

I recently switched to tracfone and found that data speeds are very slow, it might take a whole year to use the 1.5GB! But seriously, walmart sells 1GB data only cards for $10. Additional texts are $5 for 500 and more minutes are $10 for 1000.

yes, I just finished a chat session with HSN. The data allocation is for the whole year, not each month. Perhaps 2% of smartphone users could live with that sparse offering.

Or check the Tracfone store on eBay, has Moto G6 with year for $99.
