It looks like AT&T may be starting a new promotion for the start of the month. I just went to my account to see what is offered since my 100mbps fiber plan is about up. Only 100mbps($45/mo) and 1000mbps($39.99/mo) is offered, no 300mbps is offered, but it was available a day ago for $40, and I saw an ad for it on TV today. If you have AT&T internet, check the plans offered in your account dashboard. There is no mention of equipment charges, but this is for a bundle. Southern states.

Just got off the chat and got the same deal: AT&T Internet 1000 for $49.99 without any equipment fees. They did mention I would get $5 if I do autopay. I would also be getting a $100 giftcard

So after taking into account the giftcard: $36.66/month for 12 months

Much better than my Spectrum for 300/20 for $49.99

Do you have a link to this deal? All of the pages I've seen still have that $10.

I see the equipment fee removed on the site if I go back to signup. But I already got mine installed today with equipment fee as a new customer. I tried chat to see if they could apply the discount, but the rep said he couldn't do anything until the bill comes up.

It appears to be big YMMV. I started Dec end but they said I cannot be moved as I am already on the top tier. I am hesitating to take the downgrade / upgrade trick.
