HP 14-da0011dx Chromebook x360 14" Convertible Notebook, Full-HD IPS Touchscreen, Intel Core i3-8130U 2.2GHz Dual-Core, 8GB DDR4, 64GB eMMC, 802.11ac, Bluetooth, ChromeOS

This appears to be the same model that expired/sold out earlier today. When I wasn't able to buy that one, I looked around Woot and found this one.

I became even more interested when I found these are still selling new for $599 and when on sale for down as low as $400.

Chrome Unboxed reviewed this laptop and gave it a great review, and then the guy came back and gave it a second review. He said this is the model he would buy if he was buying one of these. Seemed sincere and he sold me.

I have this machine and it's absolutely fantastic. Yes, it supports Android apps and Linux works as well.

The weight is probably the only negative thing about it, but it at least contributes to the premium build and feel.

Edit: for reference, I purchased used in May 2019 for $310 on Ebay

The machine itself looks pretty freakin' great for what it is and what it does, but is this manufacturer refurbished?

Good price, but I would not buy a computer with an expiration date, also windows/linux won't run natively on these last i checked.

These aren't some kind of heritage, artisan laptop. They're chromebooks. How many 5 year old chromebooks do you see people wanting to use?

eMMC: No thanks. Using this dog slow storage will guarantee a bad experience, no matter how decent the processor or amount of memory might be.

The lack of luster display is the only drawback to this device from what I have read. Otherwise it checks every box. Nice find.

If you had looked at the review vs. making an incorrect assumption you would find that the performance is snappy. In his review he had something like 6-8 windows open at the same time, all running something simultaneously and her commented several times that it was "fast".

If a person who spends their days doing Chromebook reviews and probably uses or tests all the popular models thinks this one is best, then it couldn't be too doggy, or at all.

You know what the word assume means, right....
