Dell Home & Office has Dell XPS 13 7390 Touchscreen Laptop on sale for $1299.99 - $500 w/ coupon code LTXPSRTAFF = $799.99. Shipping is free. Thanks RevOne
The Dell XPS 13 has RAM soldered to the motherboard, meaning you should be absolutely certain the onboard RAM is enough for you, because you won't be able to upgrade it later. (The XPS 15 has upgradeable RAM, though.)
Unfortunately for me, Dell has dropped the ball on their firmware for the XPS 13 for years now, and I say this as a person who still owns the OG XPS 13 9343. Bulletproof construction, but bad firmware implementation along with bad temperature regulation inherent in the super slim design means constant thermal throttling and excessive fan noise.

For $200 - $300 more I've seen deals with the following upgrades if it's worth it to you: Core i7 instead of i5, 16GB RAM instead of 8GB, $512GB SSD instead of $256GB, 4K instead of full-HD screen.
